Traditionally built from local slate, Bluebell Cottage is one in a row of former miner’s cottages, dating back to about 1850. The cottage is ideally located in a peaceful lane only a 5 minute walk away from the village of Coniston and its amenities. Its elevated position provides breathtaking views across Coniston Water and the village to the fells beyond.
Numerous walks, for all abilities, can be enjoyed from the door. Other nearby activities include riding, boating, swimming in the lake, bicycle hire and even gorge walking. In fact, you could easily spend a week at Bluebell Cottage without once venturing out in the car.
The cottage has recently been beautifully and lovingly restored. Furnished and decorated to a high standard throughout, it has all the modern facilities that are expected whilst maintaining many of the traditional features.
